Bev was quick to respond to my query. Very helpful with information and finding times to get me lessons in my wonky schedule. Good, caring instruction from Charlene. A lot of flexibility with times and locations - and a lot of caring and helpful guidance. And they managed to get me test within a week of me finishing my lessons. Passed the first time. They were great.Posted on Google![]()

The cost of an intensive driving course in London covers your time with an experienced instructor. On the two longer courses, it also covers car hire for the test. You can compare every option on our driving lesson prices page.
Pick the course that matches where you are now, not where you hope to be. Here’s a rough guide. Your instructor can give you a better idea once they’ve seen you drive.
This suits you if you’re nearly test-ready. Maybe you’ve had lessons before, or you failed a test and need to fix a few faults. Ten hours is a focused top-up, not a start from scratch.
This is for learners with some experience. You can move off, steer and handle quiet roads, but busy junctions and manoeuvres still need work. Car hire for your test is included.
This is the one for complete beginners. It gives you time to learn everything from the controls to London’s busiest roads. Car hire for your test is included here too.
It depends on how the hours are spread and when your test is. Some people learn over a week or two. Others spread the hours a little wider.
Our honest view? Don’t cram more hours into a day than you can take in. London traffic is tiring. Bus lanes, cyclists and parked cars on narrow streets all need your full attention. A tired learner makes more mistakes, so pace matters.
A fast course only works if the paperwork is ready. Here’s what to have in place:

Intensive courses are brilliant for some people and stressful for others. It’s better to know which you are before you pay.
They usually suit you if you:
They may not suit you if you get overwhelmed easily, or if driving makes you very anxious. In that case, weekly lessons often work better. As nervous driver specialists, we can help either way. Have a look at our lessons for nervous drivers if that sounds like you.
Yes. We teach manual and automatic lessons, so you can choose the gearbox that suits you. An automatic can feel quicker to learn, because there’s no clutch to master.
Keep one thing in mind. An automatic pass only lets you drive automatic cars. If you might need to drive a manual later, think about that first. You can read more on our automatic driving lessons page.
Prefer to learn with a woman? Female instructors are available, so just ask when you call.
You’re not starting again. Bring your driving test report. It shows exactly where your faults were. A 10-hour course can then focus on those faults while your skills are still fresh.

Let's plan your first lesson.
Intensive driving lessons in London with Drivezire start at £450 for a 10-hour course. A 20-hour course costs £1,080 and a 40-hour course costs £1,980. The 20 and 40-hour courses both include car hire for your driving test. If you’d rather learn weekly, standard lessons cost £45 per hour with a two-hour minimum.
Yes. “Crash course”, “intensive course” and “fast-track lessons” all mean the same thing. You take a block of driving lessons over a short time instead of one lesson a week. The aim is to reach test standard sooner, while the skills you learn stay fresh.
On our 20 and 40-hour courses, the price includes hiring the car for your practical driving test. That means you don’t need to find your own car for test day. The 10-hour course doesn’t include car hire for the test, so check this before you choose.
You must pass your theory test before you can book your practical test. So if you want to pass quickly, get your theory test done early, before your course starts. You’ll also need a valid provisional driving licence before your first lesson with us.
No course can guarantee a pass, and you should be wary of anyone who says it does. What an intensive course does is give you lots of practice in a short time. Picking the right course length for your experience gives you the best chance on test day.
We teach both manual and automatic lessons, so you can choose the gearbox that suits you. Call 020 3667 3555 to check automatic availability for your dates. Remember that an automatic pass only lets you drive automatic cars, so think about what you’ll drive later.
Sometimes. If you’re anxious, lots of driving in a short time can feel like a lot. Many nervous learners do better with weekly lessons first. As nervous driver specialists, we’ll talk it through with you and help you choose what suits you best.
Female instructors are available at Drivezire. Just mention it when you book your course, and we’ll let you know who is available in your part of London for the dates you need. Many learners find it easier to relax and focus with an instructor they feel comfortable with.
